What we do

Tech Borås is an arena for the Borås region where companies and organisations collaborate with higher education and higher vocational education in innovation, development, education, and research. We host a hub for all types of businesses – not just purely IT companies. All businesses face challenges where common denominators and solutions can be found in tech. We contribute to Borås being as a natural hub for the development of tomorrow’s society – with tech as a clear catalyst.

We work with cross-organisational collaboration where we jointly create value. Curiosity, community, and drive – here and now – characterise our efforts. What we do enriches education and research, while developing and strengthening the skills of the companies and employees involved.

Strengthen tech skills! We at Tech Borås have developed courses based on the needs of companies in the industry. Together with some sixty professionals in tech companies, we have identified a great need for expertise in, among other things, data-driven service development and digital transformation.

Innovation Sprints: our unique approach

From problem to finished prototype in a couple of weeks. This approach combines innovation and research in cross-functional teams with specialists from several companies together with researchers and students.

We have developed our own Borås Tech Challenge, a hackathon where tech-interested students and professionals in the Borås region meet and compete.
