Borås Tech Challenge 2023

Getting exercise from hunting zombies, collecting points by cleaning in nature and making smart environmental choices when buying clothes were some of the creative solutions presented during the very first Borås Tech Challenge – with the mission to create the best digital solution on the theme “The sustainable digital society.”

The competition took place on 11-12 May 2023 at the University of Borås. In total, 30 teams of three to seven people took part. The teams chose the programming technology themselves and had 23 hours to create a prototype. All teams with executable prototypes were allowed to present with a chance to win a prize in one of five categories.

The award categories for Borås Tech Challenge 2023 were: best overall solution, personal information system for sustainable consumption, best student contribution, best user-friendliness, and highest level of technical innovation.
